Thanksgiving

So Thanksgiving went fairly well, and this is an odd occurance for my family. Usually there is something that happens and everything goes horribly wrong! However this year my Aunt asked if she could bring her friend (The Cult Leader) and of course since his is banned from Angies house, she was told no. What I thought would be the catalast to this years downfall was me. I was bringing friends. I first cleared it with most of my cousins and my grandmother and everyone gave me a positive response. Unfortunatly I don't have much contact with my Aunt so I did not ask her knowing that I would probably start something. I just figured that if anything was said about my friends then I would merely say, "Hey my friends haven't tried to convert anyone to their way of life nor offended anyone to the point of being banned from being anywhere near their home." Gladly I didn't have to give my speech (Which I had one prepared in the event it was needed to pacify my Aunt). All she did when she walked in was look at my friends and say, "Oh, so we brought friends." At that statement silence echoed about the room. When nothing more was said there was a collective sigh and everyone went about as if everything was fine. However my Aunt didn't say much the rest of the time and I for one kept waiting for an explosion that never came! Thank you dear God that all went well! And I hope everyone else out there had a great time too!

FOG!

Oklahoma is a place that doesn't normally see a lot of fog. However this past week there has been several days that there has been fog in the evening. Tonight on my drive home from Norman, on that lonely stretch of road named Sooner, the fog was so thick that I couldn't see more than ten feet in front of my car. Every once in a while I could see a street light or house light off to the side of the road and when cars got close I could see their headlights, but beyond that there was nothing. Nothing but me in my car driving along. It made me feel very isolated. I enjoyed the fog. It was just me and my car and the empty stretch of road in front of me.

Before Retail

You know before I started working in Sears I used to love Christmas and Christmas songs. In fact I would turn them on just to get into the mood for Christtmas! But now that is not the case. I got up early Saturday morning for breakfast at IHOP before reporting to work at 8:30 am, and what did my ears hear. You got it: Christmas music. All I could think to myself was that it wasn't even Thanksgiving yet and I was already being bombarded by satalite spread Christmas carolers. This actually put me in a semi bad mood. The only thing that saved my morning was that my eggs and pancakes were really good!

I can't believe I have been writing in this blog since August.

Forwards

I hate forwards!! I hate them with a passion. I love my friends but the minute I see a forward I delete it. Unless it is sent from someone that doesn't usually send me forwards. But other than that, in the trash they go. I hate opening my email and it says 20 new messages and they are all forwards. Aaaaaggghhhh....delete....delete....delelte....aaaggghhhh.

Blah

Ugh I haven't written in a while guys, sorry. Although sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading this. So maybe I'm just apologizing to myself. Hhhmmm...Anyway Howard gets out of jail today and I am not sure what will happen after that. What does happen if he continues to not pay his child support? Do they just send him back to jail again? I guess we will see. On another note, I ran into Scott Inman( who recently ran forthe senate) at the mall yesterday and he walked over and gave me a hug. Then our conversation proceeded as thus:
Scott: "So what have you been up to?"
Me: "Nothing just school and work."
At this point he frowns and says,"Well since the election didn't work out I have to find a job."
I smile and say,"So you have to join the working classes, but hey at least you got 47% of the vote."
Scott: "Yeah we did well. But I have to earn money now. Man this sucks."
At this point I am controlling my laughter.
Scott: "Well I gotta go. Oh, and say Hi to everyone since you probably talk to them more than I do."
Me: "Yeah take care and good luck."
So the message is passed along.

Halloween

I have to say that I like Halloween. It's the one chance we all have to dress up and act stupid or be like something we are not. The one time of year kids get to act wild and overdose on sugar and adults can revert to kids. I dressed up this year as a scarecrow. Everyone thought I looked cute! Hopefully I will have a picture soon that I can post. I hope everyone out there had a great Halloween!!
