TV Movies

I am a huge Lucy Lawless fan and much to my surprise and excitement she was in a made for TV movie this past Sunday. So me being the fan that I am made sure I sat down and watched it. Unfortunately I watched the whole thing. It was the worst made for TV movie that I have ever seen. I don't know if they were trying to make a parody of locusts attacking the United States but I laughed at it like they were. Ugh!

This is a monoprint that I did in art class a couple of weeks ago. It's where ink is spread on a clear plastic piece and using the reductive process you design a picture. Then it is taken and pressed through a printing press and this is what you get. It's called a monoprint because you can only print it once and it's nearly impossible to reproduce it. On this one I used Q-tips and a credit card to take away the the ink and then I used watercolors to add color to it. 

Josephus and I had a complete roll reversal yesterday. I stayed home and mowed lawns and weeded and hedged, while he went to get his hair cut and go to a ball.

Events

I keep telling myself that I need to post more often but I never seem to make the time to. Well just a brief over view of my life at present: I took another test in my Roman Forum class and I was really scared about the results because it was a very, very hard test but I made an 88. I would have preferred an A but I will take the B. We have also started painting in my art class. I'm really enjoying that and here soon I will post a picture of one of my monoprints I did in class.

So far everything with my family has been frightenly okay and quiet. I'm sure something will explode soon. Although everything may have been staved off by the birth of my new baby cousin, Rachael. New babies seem to calm everyone at least for a few days.

Oh and I have been hooked into Alias. I started watching the fourth season and decided I liked it enough to rent the first season. I really like the show and am planning on renting the other two seasons! Ugh. I need a life! :o)

Death by Train

I read in the school newspaper that an OU ruf-nek tried to outrun a train on Sunday and lost. It's crazy. And the witness was a cop who was parked by the duck pond. He said something along the lines of seeing the guy slow down at first and then take off like he was trying to beat the train. I went to the Medieval Fair Sunday and this is a picture fo face paint my sister had done. We had a really good time. I love going and looking at the swords, and of course as a must I bought some homemade root beer and had a turkey leg. There's nothing like tearing meat of the bone with your teeth and having a bottle of root beer in your hand to set you in the character of medieval times!
