God is in the little things

So today I have had a strange day! I woke up late, which for me is not a usual thing. So I was running late to class. I ran around like crazy at home to try and make it to class on time. While running out the door I said a small prayer to God along the lines of, "God help me to make it to class safely without being really late. Just watch over me please."

By the end of that small prayer I was in my car and off to school. Well I was nervous about making to my first day of this class on time (I hate being late.) and wasn't paying attention to my speed until a cop drove by. I looked down and I was doing 60 in a 50, but he ignored me. I thought thank you lord. Then I got to campus with ten minutes to spare and decided to risk parking in the permit required area instead of taking the bus. I got lucky and this guy was pulling out just as I was pulling in, so I didn't have to search for a spot. And the parking lot was full.

I get out of the car and in my rush to leave I had lost my one and only pen. Now with 8 minutes to go I just decide to walk to class and if I need one maybe someone will let me borrow one. Then I spot the parking cop and she is writing tickets left and right, so I just accept the fact that I will have a ticket. Just as I get through thinking that I spot a pen on the sidewalk with nothing wrong with it and there are no other students around the area. So now I have a pen. I finish my walk and make it to class with 5 minutes to spare. Class goes well and I do end up taking notes. Thank you God for the pen. But now I know that between my two classes I have to buy 9 books. Ugh...That's got to be $300 for sure. So I go to the bookstore pick out my books and dred everytime I here the ding of the register. However to my suprise I only spent $150. THANK You God!

Well now it is time to head back to the car. And there it is like I thought it would be. A bright yellow envelope on my windsheild. I hope to myself it is no more than $25. So I open it and to my suprise it is only a warning. THANK YOU GOD! This is evidence at least to me that the Lord is always present and does listen to all our prayers. Thank You God for all that you do!
I started school yesterday, and if I don't get into the business classes I want I will be taking only 6 hours. But they are classes that sound interesting! Anglo-Saxon Lit and religion and violence.

Frustrations

So I had to take a test so that I could be accepted into the degree program at OU. Everything went well with that and I got my email just a couple of days ago saying that I had meet their standards and I was in. This of course made me happy. Then I went to enroll into my upper division courses and low and behold they are all full. Ugh! So I contacted one of the professors of these classes.(There are four of them that have to be taken all together at the same time!) He tells me that it won't do any good to just show up and try to get in to the classes that I need to put myself on the waiting list and just see if a student drops out. Blah! Why can't anything be easy with this college?

Time

Wow I haven't written in forever! Sorry guys. I keep saying that I will write more and all that happens is I write less. Time just flies.
Okay so once again I am going to give an update and catch everyone up. I just recently took a trip to Miami to visit Josephus with my sister and a friend of mine, and once there another friend of mine showed up to suprise all of us. It was a really great trip and I will post a pic soon. I didn't want to come home! We enjoyed the beach and went to a resturant called Tavern Opa where we danced on the tables with belly dancers. I can't wait to go back!
School is starting soon and I just got through taking a test to get into the business degree program at OU. Hopefully I will know sometime today or tomorrow if I have been accepted.
My little sister just broke up with her boyfriend of a year and a half. She is upset but is dealing well with it. I think she has past the depressed state and is in the anger and bitterness stage.
My other sister works at a bank that was just recently robbed. No one was hurt but the next day she was a little leary about going back to work. I think that has passed.
My cousin Gayle is still living with us and my friend Lynn is moving in with us for about 3 months. Yes, that means that there will be 6 people living in my house. Hehe Should be interesting.
Everyone out there pray for me!
