This is what I came up with. Posted by Hello

This is the picture I had to draw for art class this past week. It is Albrecht Durer's "Saint Jerome." Posted by Hello
My blog is doing something funny and I can't seem to fix it without changing the style completely!AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
For those of you who really know me, also know that I am a Vampire. I only normally require a few hours sleep and I am up and ready to go again. I even go through stretches of insomnia. Five to six hours is a normal nights sleep for me. However for the past two days I haven't been able to get enough. I have slept 8 to 9 hours the past couple of days and Thur I even took a nap. An hour and a half nap!!

This is the South American Mask I picked to draw. Posted by Hello

Art Museum

Last Thursday in my art class we went to the newly remodeled Art Museum and had class there. Our assignment was to pick a painting to draw and then draw either a mask or a sculpture. Which I picked a mask to draw and a painting of an Indian. I will post those after this entry. But I did really enjoy the museum and would recomend that anyone who is in the area to go see it. There were a couple of school groups there but they were older kids and so I had a very enjoyable time wandering and just sitting and enjoying the artwork. A couple of the kids saw what I was drawing and really liked them. I also overheard them asking their teacher if they could also sit around draw whenever they were in college. I had a good giggle.

I'm bummed. I was supposed to see Josephus this weekend. But I am home and it is cold and raining.

Last weekend

I went last weekend to see Phantom of the Opera. My favortie musical having been made into a movie was a must see! You see I Love music. I always have!My affection for it grew ever deeper through the passing years by my experience with it in Jr. High and High School. It is a medium that has always been able to elicit emotions deep within me both high and low. It wakes emotions in me that so many things in life rarely do. I am sure that is why I took it so personally, when one of my friends, who went to see the movie with me, proceeded to exclaim his dismay for the movie completely. I for one thought that it was not a bad movie. But I found it annoying that after his self proclaimed hate for musicals was voiced the day before, that he felt the need to come with us. I said as much to him. As we walked back to our cars and he was voicing how he thought the movie was on the level of a bad Disney movie, I said disdainly in a monotoned voice, "You knew you didn't like musicals. You didn't have to come." Needless to say that one statement pretty much finished any conversation for the rest of the night. Most of the time I concede that no matter what my feelings, people are not the same and are intitled to what they think. Sometimes it is even fun to sit and probe the whys and wherefores of those feelings. But why would you subject yourself to something you hate and then turn around and try to make everyone else feel like you. That I think is what I find annoying.

I was flipping through channels and came to CMT (Country Music TV). Well I stopped and was about to hit the channel changer when as strange sight caught my eyes. I had obviously entered into the middle of a music video where a handicap girl was being slapped by her father who then locked her in a room and fled with a bunch of other rednecks in a truck. They approached a trailer house brandishing flaming cocktails and were soon followed by the girl in the wheelchair. Obviously this girl possesses uncanny abilities to unlock locked doors and to speedly catch up to men in trucks. Anyway she gets upset seeing her boiyfriends trailer being torched when out of nowhere a midget on a motorcycle shows up, embraces her, picks her up (Uncanny strength), and puts her into the side car on the motorcycle and they drive off into the sunset. Needless to say I sat stupified wondering if I had just watched a spoof, when the next thing I see is the song title and artist. John Mellancamp "Walking Tall". Maybe it will be better and less side show like if I watch it from the beginning?

In art class today we went to the Lightwell art display. This is where students display their art and even sell it. I thought to myself if I would ever reach a point when I liked my art enough to have someone buy it. Maybe it is not liking my art so much as being comfortable with it. Hhhhmmm.....

Inquiring Minds

After my manager's expressive letting of secrets and worries, she didn't say anything more about it. Before she had left that day she told me she was going to take a pregnancy test. So I waited agonizingly for four days before I just rudely asked if she was pregnant. She responds, "Oh I forgot about that. No I am not pregnant. I still haven't started my period yet but I took two tests and they both were negative." I was a little stunned that this type of situation went from extremely explosive to forgetful. Maybe in extreme relief she decided it wasn't important. Perhaps though this extends from her wreck she experienced while on her way to her senior prom. She suffered from a severe concusion along with many other things but this caused her to lose some of her high school memories. Then she informed me that she had hit her head twice on the light at work that day. So I thought to myself. Maybe she just has brain damage!

Best Quote of the Day:
"If you were in my circus: I would have you wiping the elephant butts with a wet one."

Family Affairs

Just some more insanity from the outer reaches of my family line. Dawn is the cousin who briefly lived with me after fleeing from her abusive huband. Well her divorce is still in the works, with her husband doing all that he can to make things difficult. Her husband's most present spectacle was to show up to church (a southern baptist church) with his girlfriend, whom he lives with, in tow. This would be the same church that Dawn and my family both attend. Needless to say the people who were there to see it were shocked. Even the pastor who was chatting with a deacon fell silent at their entrance and forgot to continue in his conversation! Unfortunatly I was not there to see the spectacle

I also found out that my aunt (the one with the cult leader friend), took out a loan on her next paycheck to pay for her cult friend's child support! You know the same guy who spent time in jail for not paying it in the first place. Now she doesn't have the money to pay her gas and electric bill and both companies are threatening to turn off her services. Don't forget that Dawn and her kids are living with this very same woman!!! AAAHHHH!!!
I'm sure Dawn's husband will use this situation against her in court!
